The Georgia Fund for Perinatal Mental Health is seeking a social media manager to develop social media presence, manage content development, graphic design, and community engagement for our program. This is a volunteer and fully remote position. 

Our current social accounts can be found @georgiafund on IG and FB.

Though this position is unpaid, the social media manager will have an opportunity to:

  • gain professional experience in social media management, content creation, graphic design, creative ideation, fundraising, administrative tasks, community organizing, and social justice advocacy

  • network within social justice, community organizing, and mental health communities

  • make a direct contribution to raising awareness about mental health, health injustice, and public health issues affecting Georgians

Qualifications

  • Available for at least 12 weeks for 5–10 hours/week (scheduling can be flexible)

  • Demonstrated experience with social media, content creation, and design

  • Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented organizational, research, and editorial skills

  • Must be reliable, flexible, and able to work independently

  • Basic knowledge about/familiarity with mental health, commitment to the Georgia Fund mission, interest in social justice work and mental health advocacy

Responsibilities

The social media manager will:

  • establish engaging social accounts across all platforms; create content (e.g., videos, images, copywriting); ensure consistent branding and messaging; develop and execute social media campaigns across multiple channels

  • support fundraising efforts via social media; analyze data to measure campaign success; identify new social opportunities and tools for growth

  • maintain consistent engagement of audience across all platforms; enhance social engagement to grow our audience

  • identify and explore new ideas for advancing the Georgia Fund mission

  • identify, research, and outreach fundraising leads, including community leaders and other partners
